A Little About Us
Sharon Reihmer started framing in 1967 at Kent Studios in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She majored in art at Penncrest High School, attended Hussian School of Art, then moved to Vermont in 1972. The Framing Format opened in 1976 on Railroad Street in St. Johnsbury, and moved to its present location on Lafayette Street in 1981. The shop provides a relaxed atmosphere that encourages sharing and “story-telling” which often helps to inform the design choices of each custom framing project. In addition, Sharon co-publishes the Green Mountain Trading Post, is a Fairbanks Museum Fellow, and is a board member of the LSC Foundation.
We are proud to support local nonprofits with in-kind donations of framing.
